The Book of Psalms: Volume One
This study guide on the Book of Psalms was originally created, piece by piece, for a small group study through this precious portion of the Scriptures. With the Lord’s help, I have endeavored to collect and compile some of the best thoughts and writings from Godly writers and ministers from bygone days, who loved the Lord and His Word. These include (but are not limited to) men like Matthew Henry, Charles Spurgeon, Martin Luther, and Andrew Bonar.
I’ve endeavored to present the material in this book in a format that is straightforward and easy to read, with review questions and prayer suggestions to aid you in your study. My hopes are that this volume will be profitable to you if you are a head of household leading your family in worshiping the Lord together, or if you are simply studying the Book of Psalms and seeking to grow in your personal relationship with the Lord.
As you use this guide to journey through the Book of Psalms, it’s my prayer that you will see just how applicable they are to our lives today – even though we are living thousands of years after David and other Divinely-inspired men of God originally penned them on paper. Above all, I pray that you and your family may lay your eyes upon our Lord Jesus Himself as the pages of the Psalms unveil so much concerning Himself and His glorious Gospel!
